I really struggled to find any inspiration, anything I thought of needed wings and then I downloaded a new album from amazon. The Temperance Seven's greatest hits album and I had my inspiration.

It is 1920's style jazz music and I thought, if he doesn't have natural wings then clearly he has to make a pair. Its sort os steampunk and inspired by the old style 1920's pilots in their leather jackets with fluffy sheepskin and goggles and a nice scarf blowing in the wind. Bit like those flying machine contests where they jump off the pier in a flying machine that doesn't fly...

I would advise against him trying out these wings right now, it looks like he put the harness on squint.

There was going to be a background but I decided I didn't want to risk ruining it. Would have needed to find a reference to do that justice and the wings took too long to colour anyway. Two pencils for all the spots, two pencils for all the leather. Silver metallic pencil for the frame and gold metallic gel pen for the cogs and buckles and other bits and pieces.
